We meet on the last Saturday of the month at 1:00 PM at the Seamen's Church Institute, 241 Water Street New York, New York 10038. All are welcome.

O' HARA CHAPTER meets one block from the famous South Street Seaport, at the SEAMEN'S CHURCH INSTITUTE, 241 Water Street, New York, N.Y. 10038; on the last Saturday of each month at 1 PM sharp. Our Chapter welcomes all retired or active Merchant Seamen, members of the Naval Armed Guard, Active or Retired members of the US Armed Forces, Widows of Veterans with a DD-214, Maritime Academy Cadets, or OTHERS interested in the Maritime, or Activities pertaining to the Maritime . We welcome friends and family members.
We are a very active group working in behalf of Merchant Mariners. Members take part in many Social Activities, in addition to routine matters.
If you live in the METROPOLITAN AREA, and if you love the challenge of the sea, drop in to visit us. You may discover that we are the Organization you've been looking for. Dues are $25 per year.
All visitors are welcome. If you are touring New York, and wish to enjoy the wonders of a lovely Maritime Museum, we will welcome you M-F 10 AM -3 PM.

November 9, 2001 DAZZLE AND DRAB: OCEAN LINERS AT WAR
DAZZLE & DRAB opens to the public at The Seamen's Church Institute Water Street Gallery at 241 Water Street in Manhattan's historic Seaport District. The exhibition continues until February 28, 2002.
The opening reception for members and guests of both the Ocean Liner Museum and Seamen's Church Institute is Friday, November 9, 2001.
The gallery is open Monday through Fridays from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm and for special Saturday viewings call, Ginnie Gold, at (917) 821-5359 or e-mail ginigold@att.net

The American Merchant Mariner's Memorial in Manhattan's Battery Park. This impressive monument was sculptored by New York sculptor Marisol. It was inspired by a photograph of victims of a submarine attack on an American merchant ship during World War II, and was dedicated in 1991. |
